Event Purpose:

To connect leading biological science companies with young talent here at McGill.

The path to academic professorship is clear. However, many graduate students want to pursue a career as a life scientist in the private sector and are unsure how to do so, or what specifically that entails. We are taking initiative to network with companies we find exciting, many of which are Montreal-based, within Canada, or in the United States.

We are encouraging trainees to take initiative prior to the event and to reach out to the specific companies they want to work for, and to help bring them to our career fair. We hope that by leveraging the reputation and professional network of the entire QLS and McGill community, as well as the other companies in attendance, it will make it easier for trainees to establish relationships with the companies they care about.
